LOKTAA Shabda Christmas Giveaway — Terms & Conditions

1. About the giveaway

By entering, you agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Giveaway dates

Entries open on Friday 23 October 2026 at 7 pm AEDT and close on Wednesday 28 October 2026 at 8 pm AEDT.

All dates and times in these terms refer to Sydney time. Entries received outside this period will not be included.

3. Who can enter

Entry is open to Australian residents aged 16 years or older who have an Australian delivery address and an Instagram account they are eligible to use.

Entrants aged 16 or 17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. If an entrant under 18 wins, their parent or guardian must confirm consent and help arrange delivery.

People involved in organising, administering or promoting this giveaway, LOKTAA’s owners and employees, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

4. How to enter

During the entry period:

1. Visit the original giveaway post on LOKTAA’s Instagram account, @loktaastories.
2. Comment with your favourite Shabda journal title from these six options:
   • Everyday Magic
   • Note To Self
   • Life in Progress
   • Dream Plan Do
   • With Love
   • Journal

There is a limit of one entry per person, including across multiple accounts. If someone leaves multiple comments, only their first valid entry will count.

Each entry must clearly identify one title. You may edit your comment before entries close to clarify your choice.

Entry is free. No purchase, follow, like, friend tagging or sharing is required. Normal internet access charges may apply.

Story poll votes, direct messages and comments on other posts or platforms do not count as entries.

Automated, fraudulent or impersonated entries are not eligible.

5. The prize

There is one prize: one Shabda hardcover journal in the winner’s chosen title, valued at AUD $36.80, with standard delivery to an Australian address included at no cost to the winner.

The winner may choose from the cover colours available when the prize is arranged. Personalisation and other products or accessories are not included.

The prize is not redeemable for cash. This does not affect any rights the winner has under Australian Consumer Law.

6. How the winner is selected

One winner will be selected by a random electronic draw at 8 pm AEDT on Thursday 29 October 2026, at LOKTAA Office, Dural NSW 2158, Australia.

Each eligible person will have one equal chance of winning. The chance of winning depends on the number of eligible entries received.

This is a game of chance. Comments will not be judged on creativity or writing quality. Choosing the most popular title does not improve an entrant’s chance of winning.

The winner does not need to attend the draw.

7. Contacting and announcing the winner

LOKTAA will notify the winner in writing on 29 October 2026, following the draw, using an Instagram direct message and a reply to their original entry comment.

If Instagram prevents delivery of the direct message, LOKTAA will use the comment reply to ask the winner to contact the official account.

The winning Instagram username will be announced either through an update to the original giveaway post or in a comment on that post pinned by @loktaastories. The announcement will be published on 29 October 2026 and remain available for at least 28 days.

Please check your message requests and the original giveaway post after the draw.

LOKTAA will contact the winner only through @loktaastories or info@loktaa.com. We will never ask for payment, card details or an Instagram password to claim the prize.

8. Claiming the prize

The winner must contact LOKTAA and confirm acceptance by 8 pm AEDT on Friday 13 November 2026.

To arrange the prize, the winner must privately provide their name, Australian delivery address, chosen title and available cover-colour preference. Reasonable evidence of eligibility or parent/guardian consent may also be requested.

Do not post delivery details publicly.

LOKTAA will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner, including a reminder before the claim deadline.

9. Unclaimed prize and redraw

If the prize remains unclaimed by the deadline, or the selected entrant is confirmed to be ineligible, a replacement winner will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries at 12 noon AEDT on Monday 16 November 2026, at LOKTAA Office, Dural NSW 2158, Australia.

This redraw is subject to any applicable regulatory requirements or directions.

The replacement winner will be contacted and announced on 16 November using the methods in section 7. Their claim deadline will be 8 pm AEDT on Tuesday 1 December 2026.

If the prize remains unclaimed after that deadline, LOKTAA will deal with it in accordance with applicable law and any required regulatory directions.

10. Prize delivery

LOKTAA will arrange delivery promptly after the winner’s details are confirmed, with the prize provided within 28 days of the relevant draw, subject to any lawful unclaimed-prize process.

Delivery is available within Australia only. The winner must provide accurate delivery details.

If a delivery issue occurs, LOKTAA will work with the winner and delivery provider to resolve it. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Privacy

LOKTAA will use entry information to administer the giveaway, check eligibility, select and contact the winner, announce the winning username, fulfil the prize and meet legal record-keeping obligations.

Title preferences may also be counted in aggregate to help plan LOKTAA’s market stock and future content.

The winner’s delivery details will be shared with the delivery provider as needed to send the prize. Relevant information may also be disclosed to regulators where legally required.

Entry does not subscribe you to email or other direct marketing.

Giveaway records will be retained securely for three years after the giveaway is finalised, or longer where required by law. Public comments remain subject to Instagram’s own settings and policies.

12. Instagram and Facebook

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Facebook.

To the extent permitted by law, each entrant releases Instagram and Facebook from liability arising from this giveaway. Information supplied directly to LOKTAA for administering the giveaway is supplied to LOKTAA, not to Instagram or Facebook.

13. Fair administration

LOKTAA will administer the giveaway fairly and in accordance with these terms and applicable Australian law.

Any necessary changes, cancellation or changes to the prize will be subject to applicable law and any required regulatory approval. Material updates will be published on this page and communicated through the original giveaway post.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
